There’s always a time,
a time for tea
Amid the hullabaloo of my reality.
Yet there’s ne’er a time,
a time for tea
Midst our back-breaking society
Where there’s only a time
For toil’s apathy;
To be busy, busy, busy
Buzzing like a bee —
No time to be free.
No time for this.
No time for that.
No time for chit.
No time for chat.
What an inspiration though
For a time for tea,
a time for tea to be:
Simply tea ‘n’ serenity
Where there’s never a time,
no time for time,
For pestilent time’ll cease,
So humanity’ll have peace; Peace for humanity
for a time for tea.
